About Us

Europa Language School is a non-profit organization which was established in Brussels in 1990. We offer more than 15 language courses including French, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Hungarian, Polish, Swedish, Japanese, and Chinese, and focus on tailored individual and group courses for professionals, academics, and newcomers to Brussels. All of our instructors are university-trained with diverse backgrounds. This ensures a better understanding of the needs and objectives of each student.

The social aim of our non-profit structure is to offer language courses at the lowest prices. We can therefore propose unique and tailored courses for professionals, combining networking, cultural, and language services.

We offer a wide variety of language courses, which meet any possible business need. Our courses are adapted for you either at a location of your choice, or at our school. We understand your need for a flexible and personalized timetable. For this reason, we offer individual and small group courses (maximum 6 students) that are developed and carried out according to your company’s requirements.

Our courses range from beginner to advanced levels, and encourage fluency and total immersion in the language of your choice. Our international team consists of instructors with degrees in Interpretation and Translation and backgrounds in a wide range of other domains, such as education, communications, business, law, international and European policy, political economy, etc. Our instructors will plan a tailor-made language curriculum that meets your needs.

One-to-One Courses (for Private People)

The private one-to-one course has a higher efficiency / cost rate than a group class: the teacher builds the course based on the level, the pace of learning and the special requests of the student. The time spent on each subject is tailored as required to the unique needs of the student, with emphasis on his weaknesses.

The student participates in deciding the content of her / his course. This can cover the basic aspects of language (necessary to reach a level of «specialization») that some professionals may require, language related to business and every-day life in the workplace, language specific to an area of professional activity (business language, for example), the preparation of language exams or preparation for a job interview etc.

Courses for a Group of Friends (Private People)

When registering, the student may, if desired, create a "personalized class" by incorporating more friends (maximum 4) at the same level. The hourly course price is the same as the one-to-one course - the per-capita-price is thus the hourly price divided by the number of participants - but a small fee for the teaching materials and the registration (a flat rate) must be paid for each additional student.

To ensure the best pedagogical results, the group must be approved by the school after each student has taken a written and oral test to determine the level (we recommend that all students have the same level and share the same goals and expectations). Ideally the number of participants per class should not exceed 4 people. The course description is the same as that for the one-to-one courses for private people.

Regular School Group Courses for Private People
( courses organized by the school )
FRENCH - DUTCH - ENGLISH

Courses are held in very small groups of 4 to 6 students with the same level. The curriculum for the group courses was developed by our school and ensures rapid progress in learning and use of language.

Group courses focus on communication. The courses deal, level by level, with the various aspects of daily life: asking for directions, shopping, consulting the menu card and ordering in a restaurant, answering the phone, reading and understanding an article from a newspaper, listening and understanding a radio or television program and having discussions on various topics.

The program includes the study of basic grammar and its application through written and oral exercises, but it focuses mainly on improving the oral level.

At the end og level 1, the student is able to communicate confidenly and effectively and has the ability to handle basic situations in everyday life, as the student acquires the knowledge and therefore confidence, allowing him to speak more effectively.

At the end of the last level, the students may, if desired, take private lessons to complement their training in the areas of their choice such as the development of writing, grammar, learning a business language, preparing for exams language and translation.

Total Immersion one-to-one or for a group of friends (Private People)

If you don't have a lot of time or you quickly need to learn a foreign language, , whether for work, a business trip or an exam, or if you need to implement some practical and specific vocabulary (business, financial, etc.), we're here to help!
Our full-immersion courses in one or two weeks, taught by dynamic and effective teachers, provide excellent results.

We offer:

When registering, the student may, if desired, create a "personalized class" by incorporating more friends (maximum 4) with the same level. The hourly course price is the same as the one-to-one course, but a small fee for the teaching materials and the registration must be paid for each additional student.

To ensure the best pedagogical results, the group must be approved by the school after a test level passed by each participant (we recommend that all students have the same level and share the same goals and expectations). Ideally the number of participants per class should not exceed 4 persons. The course description is the same as that for the one-to-one courses for Private People.

Finally, we advise that the courses are held in our premises. However if the student wishes, the lessons may be elsewhere, in which case the travel costs of the teacher are charged (from € 15 / lesson, depending on distance).

THE CURRICULUM OF THE COURSE IS ADAPTED TO THE SPECIFIC NEEDS OF THE ONLY ONE STUDENT OR OF THE GROUP OF FRIENDS.

Distance Learning (for Private People)

For those who have a busy agenda. This unique program allows the student to advance without losing time.

These courses help improve oral and comprehension levels in the language studied. However, this system does not exclude written exercises and assignments by FAX/e-mail.

The lessons are organized in a well-defined program, based on the results of a written and oral test, and adapted to the needs and objectives of the student. The course can also consist of simple discussions if the student wishes.

The teacher will call the student at a predetermined time, and the lesson will last for 30 minutes. We can offer a combination of a classic one-to-one course (both the teacher and the student are present) and a course by telephone, SKYPE, etc.

Remedial LANGUAGES & SCIENCE teaching - high school and university levels

We offer assistance to Primary, Secondary and University students confronting difficulties mastering science or language subjects and willing to improve their knowledge in these fields.

Programs tailored to the individual needs and schedule of each student: an on-demand assistance to successfully face oral and written exams.

The Company Group Courses are treated as individual courses for companies, except in regards to the number of participants (maximum 4), which will be composed exclisively of employees of the same company.

When signing-up, the Company may, if desired, create a "personalized class" by incorporating a few co-workers from its personnel (maximum 4) at the same level. The hourly course price is the same as the one-to-one course for Companies - the per-capita-price is thus the hourly price divided by the number of participants - but a small fee for the teaching materials and the registration (a flat rate) must be paid for each additional student.

Cours Individuels pour particuliers

Les cours privés individuels (un étudiant - un professeur) ont un rapport prix / efficacité supérieur à celui des cours en groupe de tout type: le professeur, se consacrant à un seul étudiant, s'adapte exactement au rythme d'apprentissage de son élève. Le temps consacré à chaque sujet est exactement celui dont l'étudiant à besoin, et l'accent est mis sur ses points faibles.

L’étudiant décide du contenu de son cours. Ce dernier peut couvrir tant les aspects de base de la langue (absolument nécessaires pour atteindre un niveau « de spécialisation ») que certains aspects professionnels : langage courant dans la vie de l’entreprise, langage spécifique à un domaine d’activité professionnelle (la langue des affaires, par exemple), la préparation d’examens linguistiques ou autres, la préparation d'un entretien d'embauche, etc.

Cours en Groupe d'Amis (pour particuliers)

Lors de son inscription, l’étudiant peut, s'il le désire, créer un groupe "personnalisé" en y intégrant plusieurs amis (maximum 3) ayant le même niveau de départ. Le prix horaire reste le même pour l’ensemble des participants  - le prix par étudiant est donc le prix horaire divisé par le nombre de participants - un petit supplément (forfait) doit être payé pour chaque étudiant pour les frais d’inscription et de matériel.

Afin d’assurer la réussite pédagogique du cours, la composition du groupe doit être approuvée par l’école après un test de niveau passé par chaque participant (nous conseillons que tous les étudiants aient le même niveau et partagent les mêmes objectifs et attentes).  Idéalement, le nombre de participants par classe ne devrait pas dépasser 4 personnes. La description des cours est la même que celle des cours individuels (un étudiant - un professeur) pour particuliers.

Cours en Groupe organisés par l'Ecole (pour particuliers)

Nos cours sont organisés en très petits groupes de 4 à 6 étudiants ayant le même niveau de départ. Le programme des cours en groupe a été développé par notre école et assure un progrès rapide dans l'apprentissage et l'utilisation de la langue étudiée.

Les cours de groupe sont essentiellement axés sur la communication. Les cours traitent, niveau après niveau, des différents aspects de la vie courante : se présenter, demander son chemin, faire ses courses, consulter la carte et commander dans un restaurant, répondre au téléphone, lire et comprendre l’essentiel d’un article de journal, écouter et comprendre l’essentiel d’un programme radio ou télévisé, avoir des discussions sur des sujets variés. Le programme comprend l’étude des bases grammaticales et leur application par des exercices écrits, mais cela toujours dans le but d’améliorer le niveau oral.

Dès la fin du premier niveau, l’étudiant est capable de se «débrouiller» dans les situations simples de la vie courante. Au fur et à mesure de l’apprentissage, l’étudiant acquiert les connaissances, et par conséquent la confiance en soi, lui permettant de s’exprimer plus aisément.

Arrivé au terme du dernier niveau de cours, l’étudiant peut encore, s’il le désire, suivre des cours privés qui complèteront sa formation dans les domaines de son choix et aussi divers que l’approfondissement de l’écrit, de la grammaire, l’apprentissage d’un langage professionnel, la préparation à des examens linguistiques, la traduction, etc.

Nos cours d'Immersion Totale (individuels - un étudiant-un professeur - ou pour un groupe d’amis) en une ou deux semaines, dispensés par des professeurs dynamiques et efficaces, donnent d'excellents résultats.

Cours à Distance (pour particuliers)

Pour ceux qui ont un agenda chargé. Ce type d’apprentissage permet de progresser sans se déplacer ni perdre du temps.

Cours destinés aux personnes désirant surtout améliorer leur expression orale et leur compréhension dans la langue étudiée.  Cependant, ce système n’empêche nullement la présence d’une structure écrite solide en transmettant les exercices et devoirs par fax ou mail. 

Les leçons sont organisées selon un programme bien défini, après un test oral et écrit, en se basant sur les besoins et objectifs de l’étudiant.  Le cours peut également consister en simples discussions si l’étudiant le souhaite.

A un moment déterminé, le professeur appelle l’étudiant. La leçon dure 30 minutes. Nous  pouvons proposer une formule combinant cours en présence du professeur et cours par téléphone.

Cours Individuels un étudiant - un professeur (pour entreprises)

Les cours individuels en entreprise sont conçus pour répondre aux besoins spécifiques de l'étudiant.

Le professeur, se consacrant à un seul étudiant, s'adapte exactement au rythme d'apprentissage de son élève. Le temps consacré à chaque sujet est exactement celui dont l'unique étudiant à besoin et l'accent est mis sur ses points faibles.

La direction de l’entreprise et / ou l’étudiant nous font connaître les objectifs qu’ils désirent atteindre. Cours en Groupe en Entreprise (étudiants de votre entreprise)

Les cours de groupe en entreprise sont assimilés aux cours individuels pour les entreprises, sauf en ce qui concerne le nombre de participants (maximum 4), lesquels font tous partie du personnel de la même entreprise.Si l’entreprise désire que plusieurs membres de son personnel (ayant le même niveau de départ, déterminé par un test de niveau) suivent un même cours, le prix horaire reste le même - le coût par participant est donc divisé par le nombre d'étudiants ; les frais d’inscription et de matériel didactique doivent être payés pour chacun.

Idéalement, le nombre de participants par classe ne devrait pas dépasser 4 personnes.

Immersion Totale (pour les entreprises)

Vous disposez de peu de temps et vous vous trouvez dans l'obligation d'apprendre une langue étrangère, que ce soit pour votre travail, pour un voyage d'affaires ou pour passer un examen? Vous devez mettre en pratique un vocabulaire particulier ? Nous sommes là pour vous aider!

Nos cours d'Immersion Totale (un-à-un ou pour un groupe d’amis) en une ou deux semaines, dispensés par des professeurs dynamiques et efficaces, donnent d'excellents résultats.

Nous proposons:

Lors de son inscription, l’étudiant peut, s'il le désire, créer un groupe "personnalisé" en y intégrant plusieurs amis (maximum 3) ayant le même niveau de départ. Le prix horaire reste le même pour l’ensemble des participants ; un petit supplément doit être payé pour chaque étudiant pour les frais d’inscription et de matériel.

Afin d’assurer la réussite pédagogique du cours, la composition du groupe doit être approuvée par l’école après un test de niveau passé par chaque participant (nous conseillons que tous les étudiants aient le même niveau et partagent les mêmes objectifs et attentes).  Idéalement, le nombre de participants par classe ne devrait pas dépasser 4 personnes. La description des cours est la même que celle des cours individuels (un étudiant - un professeur) pour particuliers.

Enfin, nous conseillons que les cours aient lieu dans nos locaux. Cependant, si l'étudiant le désire, les leçons peuvent être données ailleurs; dans ce cas, le déplacement du professeur est facturé (à partir de 15.00 EUR / leçon, selon la distance).

Cours à Distance (pour entreprises)

Pour ceux qui ont un agenda chargé. Ce type d’apprentissage permet de progresser sans se déplacer ni perdre du temps.

Cours destinés aux personnes désirant surtout améliorer leur expression orale et leur compréhension dans la langue étudiée.  Cependant, ce système n’empêche nullement la présence d’une structure écrite solide en transmettant les exercices et devoirs par fax ou mail. 

Les leçons sont organisées selon un programme bien défini, après un test oral et écrit, en se basant sur les besoins et objectifs de l’étudiant.  Le cours peut également consister en simples discussions si l’étudiant le souhaite.

A un moment déterminé, le professeur appelle l’étudiant. La leçon dure 30 minutes. Nous  pouvons proposer une formule combinant cours en présence du professeur et cours par téléphone.

De Europa Language School is een VZW die is opgericht in 1990 te Brussel. Eén-op-Eén (Eén student - Eén lesgever) (voor particulieren)

De Eén-op-Eén (Eén student - Eén lesgever) lessen bieden een hogere prijs-efficiëntie-verhouding dan eender welke andere vorm van groepslessen. De lesgever, die zich op slechts 1 student dient te richten, kan zich aanpassen aan het ritme van de student. De tijd, die aan elk onderwerp wordt besteed, is exact wat nodig is voor de student, waarbij de nadruk steeds ligt op zijn/haar persoonlijke knelpunten.

De student bepaalt zelf de inhoud van de lessen. Dit kan zowel om de basiskennis van de taal gaan (absoluut noodzakelijk om een “gespecialiseerd” niveau te bereiken) als om de taal binnen een bepaald vakdomein: zakelijke taal, de voorbereiding op een taaltest, een sollicitatiegesprek, enz.

Cursussen voor een groep van vrienden (voor particulieren)

Indien gewenst kan de student bij inschrijving een eigen groep vormen met vrienden of collega's (maximum 4) met  hetzelfde taalniveau. De prijs per uur blijft dezelfde voor de hele groep – de prijs per student wordt dan gedeeld door het aantal deelnemers, enkel de inschrijvings- en materiaalkosten worden per persoon aangerekend.

Teneinde het pedagogisch slagen van de opleiding te verzekeren moet de samenstelling van de groep goedgekeurd worden door onze school. Dit gebeurt aan de hand van een niveautest die elke deelnemer individueel dient af te leggen. Bij voorkeur hebben de studenten een gelijkwaardig taalniveau en beogen zij hetzelfde doel. Het is aangeraden om maximaal 4 personen per groep samen te voegen. De inhoud van deze opleiding is dezelfde als deze van de privélessen voor particulieren.

Cursussen voor een groep gevormd door de school (cursussen voor particulieren georganiseerd door de school)

Onze lessen worden gegeven in kleine groepen van 3 tot 6 deelnemers met hetzelfde taalniveau. Het programma van de groepsopleiding werdt door onze school ontwikkeld en staat garant voor een snelle vooruitgang bij het aanleren en gebruiken van de gekozen taal.

De groepslessen richten zich vooral op communicatie. De lessen behandelen per niveau verschillende aspecten uit het dagelijkse leven zoals zich voorstellen, de weg vragen, boodschappen doen, het menu lezen en bestellen in een restaurant, de telefoon beantwoorden, een krantenartikel lezen en begrijpen, radio- en televisieprogramma's beluisteren en begrijpen, gesprekken voeren over verschillende onderwerpen, ...

Tijdens het programma komt ook de grammaticale basiskennis en toepassing aan bod, steeds met het oog op de verbetering van de verbale capaciteiten en het zelfvertrouwen van de student om zich uit te drukken.

Bij het beëindigen van het eerste niveau kan de student zich redden in eenvoudige dagdagelijkse situaties. Doorheen de opleiding vergaart de student de kennis, en bijgevolg het zelfvertrouwen, om zich op een zelfverzekerde manier in een andere taal uit te drukken.

Wanneer de student uiteindelijk geslaagd is voor het laatste niveau van de opleiding kan hij, indien gewenst, nog privélessen volgen die zijn of haar vorming op een specifiek domein vervolledigen. Dit kan zowel voor spelling en grammatica, maar ook voor specifiek vakjargon (zakelike taal) of ter voorbereiding van een taalexamen, de vertaling, enz.

Taalbad Eén-op-Eén (Eén student - Eén lesgever) of voor een groep van vrienden (particulieren)

U beschikt over weinig tijd en bent verplicht voor professionele doeleinden, een reis of een examen een taal te leren op zeer korte tijd ? U dient zich een specifieke woordenschat eigen te maken (zakelijk, financieel, enz.)?

Wij zijn er voor u!

Ons taalbad van een of twee weken wordt begeleid door dynamische en efficiënt werkende lesgevers met uitmuntende resultaten.

Ons voorstel:

  • Een gevuld maar evenwichtig uurrooster: elke dag 4 uur (in de voormiddag) of 6 uur (3 uur in de voormiddag en 3 uur in de namiddag)
  • Een programma aangepast aan uw noden.
  • Een gestructureerde les, gebaseerd op uitgebreide mondelinge oefeningen.

Om de student psychologisch te stimuleren raden wij aan om de lessen in onze lokalen te volgen.

Indien de student dit wenst kunnen de lessen ook elders gegeven worden. In dit geval wordt de verplaatsing van de lesgever aangerekend (vanaf 15 euro per les, afhankelijk van de afstand).

Indien gewenst kan de student bij inschrijving een eigen groep vormen met vrienden of collega's (maximum 4) met  hetzelfde taalniveau. De prijs per uur blijft dezelfde voor de hele groep, enkel de inschrijvings- en materiaalkosten worden per persoon aangerekend.

Cursussen van op Afstand (voor particulieren)

Voor mensen met een overvolle agenda. Deze opleidingsvorm laat toe zich te vervolledigen zonder zich te verplaatsen en zonder tijdverlies. Deze lessen zijn gericht op personen die vooral hun spraak en luistervaardigheid willen verbeteren. Dit belet echter niet dat een schriftelijk gedeelte, inclusief oefeningen en huistaken, per fax of mail gestuurd kunnen worden.

De lessen zijn georganiseerd volgens een programma bepaalt door een geschreven en gesproken test en de noden en doelstellingen van de student. Op wens van de student kunnen eenvoudige discussies worden opgenomen in het lessenpakket. 

Op een vooraf overeengekomen tijdstip, belt de lesgever de student. De les duurt 30 minuten. We kunnen een formule voorstellen waarbij de cursus per telefoon met Eén-op-Eén (Eén student - Eén lesgever) lessen gecombineerd worden.
